So I am trying to figure out the "safe" threshhold for making a cargo delivery without associates. I did an 8 crate delivery in a Tug, no problem. I did a 7 crate delivery in a single Cuban 800, and was shot down by NPC helicopters even with evasive maneuvers (a $94k delivery, procured 1 crate at a time, I'm still tearing up)

I did a 20 crate Cuban plane delivery the other night with no NPC resistance/attacks at all yet my friend in the same session did his and got shot down by Buzzard's and lost all his cargo. I've heard that you can do the disconnect trick (reset Router/disable internet connection) if you get attacked and you exit online before death etc and the game will retain your goods in the warehouse but I have not tested this myself yet.

Any idea what this unlock is for destroying special cargo? After I got my first one, I see a notification for "Bullet and explosive ammo added":

So how does one get offered Special Crates - do I need a medium or large warehouse? I did two full small warehouses runs yesterday (16 items) and one of only 3 items but no call yet. Also I have heard but not confirmed yet - is it true one of these missions has a Chariot Romero Hearse spawn, does anyone know which product. So far, both are random & no one knows the triggers\conditions for them. As the Romero, Yes... that is indeed true! However, apparently its a mission vehicle & can't be saved, but I think you can use it to spawn a regular Romero.

Can't you call Merriweather services & have a Backup helicopter escort you during the sale mission? Also, if you get another situation like this, why not land the Cuban 800 & take em out?

I don't think the backup helicopter will be of much use, since an enemy player can easily HL it down. On the airplane drop, I don't think you'd have enough time to land once they spawn, because they shoot you down quick. (Buzzards using machine guns) Snipers from a Maverick ain't gonna cut it. You really need an org member in another Buzzard to shoot them down.

Out of interest is CEO work easier in a free aim lobby rather than assisted or are they both equally populated with players right now? FA sessions are less populated and people usually mind their own business and are peaceful. AA however is cancerous garbage. Will never ever go in a public AA session again.

Thank you for that, I believe I have been converted back to Free Aim play, just need to practice again for killing things.

Any idea what this unlock is for destroying special cargo? Asshole shirt and dunce cap. That's a bit harsh. The game gives game rewards for destroying someone else's special cargo. If the game mode were adversarial player-free, they would have put it in a separate game mode, gave you one of the several random NPC scenarios for pickup or delivery, then you'd eventually get bored with it. By putting a bounty on the cargo, it makes each run random and risky, and gives it longer term gameplay value. It also gives a much greater incentive to run an organization with cooperating associates. Players that can't handle the risk shouldn't be in the import export business in the first place. I may get infuriated when someone gets the best of me while playing it, but I don't get real world angry unless they are using exploits or outright cheating. I go after bounties in freemode, because I play a criminal that wants to self-enrich himself and will kill for my money.
