Now live. "Bodyguards try to evacuate a Target before a team of Assassins can get them. The Target and the Bodyguards are better armed, but they've got less lives to lose."
"Entourage requires tactical teamwork for Bodyguards to transport a well-armored and armed Target to a designated Extraction Point, all the while battling a team of Assassins attempting to take down the Target. The Extraction Point along with all Assassins are only visible to the Target on their radar – the Bodyguards must rely on communication to safely transport the Target and themselves to the goal."
Entourage I - Textile City Entourage II - Vespucci Canals Entourage III - Cypress Flats Entourage IV - Murietta Heights oilfield Entourage V - Paleto Forest Entourage VI - Downtown [ GTA Wiki][ R* Announcement] Objectives: Target: Get to the extraction point (yellow marker). Bodyguards: Protect the Target (blue bounty icon on map) from the assassins, and help the target reach the extraction point. Assassins: Kill the target (red bounty icon on map), or prevent the Target from getting the the extraction point by the time limit (extraction point not seen on map). Target has a working heavy heist outfit and bulletproof helmet and buffed health. No players can use armor or snacks from inventory to restore health or body armor. No traffic or vehicles are available to transport the Target to the extraction point. Bodyguards can restore lives by picking up (new) heart bottle pickups. Bodyguards and targets can restore health by picking up health icons.

I haven't played this one yet but having read the description over on social club it sounds quite similar to Extraction?

I played this a few times last night and managed to do fairly well for myself. Playing it right now you can get into quite big lobbies with say ten people or so fairly easily which is how I think the mode is intended to be played. In a few weeks though when it is no longer new it will probably be very hard to find more than a few people at a time to play this with. So play it now I guess while its hot if you want to experience it.
A couple of things I wasn't sure about are whether or not you are always on the radar for the opposing team when playing either as an assassin or bodyguard. My blip on the radar implied that I was always on the radar but for me people on the opposing team weren't at times so I was a bit confused. Not sure if it is the same as in a deathmatch or if different rules apply here though I believe the target is always on the radar for everyone.
Also it seemed to me as if the target perhaps had some sort of extra health or extra protection. I know they have a bullet proof helmet as part of the outfit but people wearing those can still die from headshots generally, it just takes a few more bullets. Last night though I was shooting a target in the head for what felt like a few seconds and he didn't die. Maybe it is something similar to how you can take much more damage than normal when close to your partner in Till Death Do Us Part.

I got around to playing this for the first time.
First of all, I think if you have that COD "my KDR is sacred" on the brain, you'll never enjoy playing this AM or many of the other AMs that are assymetrically balanced.
I like the concept, the scrubs versus the privleged idea is definately borrowed from the Trading Place AM, bodyguards must be more guarded and defensive, but willing to sacrifice themselves for the target, if you are playing to win and not to selfishly groom your KDR. Assassins can play like "I don't give a flying fuck" since they have unlimited lives, and should be relentless and on the hyper-offense instead of guarded (like attackers in Seige Mentality).
I got to be the target once, and I felt the target's health was way too high. While the other targets in the other rounds basically played confrontationally like morons, I simply made my way to the extraction zone, avoiding the assassins as much as possible, and using my knowledge of the map to take a sneaky and protected route. While I took some decent hits, I was never in danger of dying, and made it the extraction zone quite easily.

It's not assymetrically balanced. It's heavily imbalanced. RPGs, nade launchers vs. assault rifles. Absolutely stupid gamemode. Wasted potential. Again.

Better weapons, limited lives vs Weaker weapons, unlimited lives. Each side must be played with a different strategy. If it were symmetrical, it might as well be a plain old deathmatch (*yawn*). I'm not understanding what side you think is disadvantaged? When I played, and the target played like a moron where they fought instead of getting to the extraction zone, the bodyguards were eventually all taken out.

It is a deathmatch. Bodyguards should win every round because they are OP. If not, the attackers are just lucky with spawning next to the target. Otherwise they can't do jackshit against the OP defenders and a guy with a bulletproof helmet, beast health and 10 grenades in his launcher. Matches with random noobs and uneven teams do not count. It's as imbalanced and unplayable as In & Out.

It is idiotic for bodyguards and targets to gratiously engage in battle and ignore the goal of the game mode. The other side has the goal of killing the target. The goal is NOT to kill as many adverse players as you can in the time limit. If you play it thinking it is a deathmatch, of course it sucks.

OP has been updated with game mechanics details for this mode. It is incomplete, but if you play this mode and can take notes, I'd like to get that part completed. I'm curious as to what all the weapon pickups are available for the bodyguards and target. If I remember correctly, I don't think assassins have any pickups available.

I only played it once. I was a bodyguard & kept the boss alive until the game is over. Even though he survived, we lost because he didn't move. I couldn't finish reading the description before the match, so I did what a bodyguard supposed to do. I got 20k & scored 10 kills for the daily objective.

It's pretty annoying to play with players that either don't understand their objective (even though it's right in front of them on the screen), or they just play it like an unbalanced deathmatch, which is unfair to players that actually want to win the match. If the target doesn't get to the extraction point, that side loses - and the Assassins eventually knock out all the bodyguards from the round because they always come back like zombies.

Yes, Yes & Yes! Although I liked Entourage, I won't play it again because of this $#%&! 2x$ be dammed.
