One small tip on transform racing - when you hit a boat checkpoint, it is best to approach the checkpoint as low and as horizontal as possible, so your boat/blazer doesn't lose momentum when it takes a dive. Also, air to land vehicle transforms should be done the same way, to preserve the momentum.

I've been playing a lot of these transform races but haven't been doing very well. For the longest time I mainly only ever raced solo but just recently I've decided to be brave and go out into public lobbies. It hasn't gone well at all though. I've only won a handful and most of the time I end up about 6th. Either one of two things usually happens, either I get wiped out very early on by another player which sets me back to about 12th and then I'm playing catch up from then on and maybe I'll claw it back to 5th or 6th but no higher. Or it will happen that I'm doing pretty well and am either out in front a little bit or exchanging first place with someone for the 1st lap only for something to go wrong (usually someone spinning me out or killing me in a plane) and then I can't recover and end up about 3rd.
Another thing that has really surprised me is that I'm not doing as well as I thought I would in the flying sections despite that being my biggess strength racing wise. I have all possible custom air vehicles used in the races and aren't making any mistake but it often seems to be in these sections that I get overtaken even though I believe I'm flying very well. On the other hand I always considered motorbikes to be my weakest area but in these sections I actually seem to make up a bit of ground. It's very weird.
I guess some of these troubles stem from catch up rearing it's ugly head (to an extent anyway) but you would think that would benefit me when behind as well so I can't blame it all on that. It would be better I think to play none contact but of course unless you host yourself it is very unlikely you will find a lobby like that. I guess all races would be better none contact if playing with randoms in big lobbies not just these new ones.

Public racing in general can be quite annoying, especially when the griefers come to troll the race. Usually it's best to have a group of players that you race with that are skilled enough to not hit you on accident, and not griefers that hit you on purpose. Good sport players in a group usually follow the pitstop rule, that is, if you hit someone by accident you pull over and let them pass you.

Even if I was flying my personal & upgraded plane. I think Its either bugged or they developed it like that intentionally to give rookies & noobs against experienced pilots.

I managed to string a few wins together this last day or two. One of them was set to none contact where I won by quite a big margin. Racing under those conditions in public lobbies seems more enjoyable as at least then it can only be your own mistakes or just better drivers that prevent you from doing well.
Yes I wouldn't be surprised IceDree if there was something like that involved with it being developed to make the flying sections easier for people who aren't as experienced. I recall I was doing the Split Personality race and was near the end of the lap on the Besra section before the parachute part and at that point I had a 12 second lead over the person closest. I made no errors in the Besra but the 2nd placed guy somehow still got ahead of me. Perhaps I'm underestimating catchup but I wouldn't think it would allow someone to make up that big of a gap so quickly if the leader doesn't make any mistakes.
