In addition to my plan to capitalize on the Christmas bonuses with the Special Cargo, I've decided to add Freight Cargo into the mix. I'll collect one crate per day & rotate between Art & Antiques, Animal Materials & Gemstones to have 10 of each by next month to get the 12% bonus on each type when I sell it. I might even do Counterfeit Goods & Tobacco if I finish early.
I'll be looking at $327,000 to $755,000 in easy money, hoping for the later of course.

So my general observations about the smuggling missions:
Difficulty is much higher than the Special Cargo/MC Business/Import-Export Vehicles/Gunrunning on the sourcing missions. You may end up screaming after getting hit with a missile by an NPC fighter while on the ground for the 5th time.
While I enjoy doing these missions, economically, sourcing one crate at a time by yourself is a slow way to make money, since the sourcing missions usually take 15-20 minutes for a single crate that sells at $10K. It really makes sense to do these with at least one associate.

Its best to carry the flare gun with you for situations like this, if you see the missile closing in, fire up a round or two to fool the missile. Economically speaking, I completely agree. The way I see it, Its best to do a single crate a day as a side business until you want to sell the stock you have (check out my guide in the first page to get the best outcome with the bonuses). I'm currently hoarding crates that way to prepare for the Christmas bonuses.

Here's an update on part II of my plan Operation Christmas:
I've collected 28 Freight Cargos. 10 Animal Materials, 9 Art and Antiques, & 9 Gemstones. I'll be qualified for a 12% bonus on all of them. I think I'll collect 5 Tabaco crates as well to get a 5% bonus on that.

Indeed they are! & yea I'm intending to sell em solo. 😎✌🏼 That's why I collected different types of Cargo, I'll sell one type at a time (10 crates to get the 12% bonus l) to guarantee either a single delivery plane or 3 Havoc helicopters. If everything goes according to plan, I should get at least $655,200. Granted it ain't that much, but its good for a few minutes of Smuggling everyday.

How does the Christmas bonus thing come into play that you are taking advantage of here (and for crates as well I think you said)? Don't think I've heard anything about that before. And does it just happen on Christmas Day meaning you have to do all your selling in one sitting to get the bonus or does it last for a few days over Christmas like the snow?
When you say you will sell ten crates is that all ten animal ones in one go or do you mean you will do ten separate sell missions for each crate and will you then repeat that for the art and gemstones ones as well? Sounds like a lot of work but I'm sure I'm not understanding what you plan to do properly? Also am I right in thinking that if you just sell one of these smuggler cargo things at a time you will have an relatively easy sell mission? I've only tried to sell about 6 or 7 times but failed about half of those. I think the last time I got shot down really quickly by an armed helicopter chasing me though perhaps this happened as I tried to sell 2 pieces of cargo at once. It was a month or so ago now so I can't remember.

It was a month or so ago now so I can't remember. They did an event last year that had a 50% bonus on Special Cargo sales, MC Business sales & Vehicle Cargo exports on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. R* repeats the same event every Christmas & expand on it with whatever they added during the year, I'm hoping they do it again this year (with the addition of Bunker & Hangar sales). Yes, you have to sell it while the event is active to get the bonus ... Coincidently it happens during the first snowing, which makes flying a plane with nearly zero visibility a really unpleasant experience, nerve wrecking when you are hauling millions of dollars worth of cargo lol. www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60086/GTA-Online-Festive-Surprise-Holiday-Bonuses-Los-Santos-SnowfallAs for selling Hangar cargo, Yes, I'm planning to sell all 10 Animal Materials crates in one sale to get the 12% multiplier bonus, then sell the 10 Art and Antiques crates in another sale to get the 12% multiplier bonus and then finally sell the 10 Jewelry and Gemstone crates in a third sale to get the 12% multiplier bonus. If I managed to collect Counterfeit Goods crates or Alcohol and Tobacco crates before the bonuses kick in, then I'll sell tne 5 counterfeit Goods crates in one sale to get the 5% multiplier bonus and then sell the 5 Alcohol and Tobacco crates in a second sale to get the 5% multiplier bonus. I believe you are describing the infamous Mogul sale mission *shivers*.

Sounds like a good deal then with the 50% bonus. Hopefully they bring it back this Christmas but as you say it must be a bit worrying flying a plane or whatever full of valuable cargo in the snow and mist with poor visibility.
Okay thanks I see what you mean with the smugglers cargo. Am I right in thinking then that as long as you sell no more than 10 pieces of cargo at a time then you should get a selling mission that is lone wolf friendly unless that is you get lumbered with the Mogul sale mission which I suppose is just a risk you have to take?

Yessir! 🙃 I learned to take visibility & weather the hard way lol. I was airlifting a Verlierer during an I\E sale & crashed the 'Bob into a flag pole ... Bam! 50k lost in a blink of an eye, I was very lucky the car was feet dry & missed falling into the canal by mere inches. Yep, 10 is the sweet spot (as long as you sell one type)... Although I hear people get lucky with up to 25, I didn't wanna take the risk as it backfired on me with a GR sale once. I hope I don't get the Mogul sale, but I'll deal with it if I end up getting it .... I read if you take out the shooters only, the helicopters will be harmless & you'll have a smooth flight all the way to the end.

I checked out my hangar computer for the first time in a while last night and it seems I've taken a scatter gun approach with collecting cargo and have one or two pieces of the harder stuff in stock like narcotics and chemicals. So perhaps it was one of thee I tried to sell when I mentioned I got shot down in a previous post and maybe I didn't encounter the Mogul sell mission after all. I decide to sell one of these harder ones last night just to try and get rid of it and I just about pulled it off but it was difficult. I had a Seabreeze as the sale vehicle so I had decent speed at least but I was chased the whole time by what appeared to be two jets. Luckily I caused one to crash early on and just avoided the missiles of the other but it was a lot of hard work for just $9,750.
In future I'll do as IceDree suggests and just stick to sourcing the easier stuff like Tobacco or the mid range cargo like Animal Materials and then try and build then up to sell in increments of 5 or 10 depending on the type.
How do you mean IceDree when you say you will try and shoot the gunners off if you get the Mogul sale mission because I would imagine you would have to free aim with a weak Mogul mounted machine gun while flying at the same time so probably wouldn't be able to target the gunners specifically?

I'll land the Mogul, get out, shoot em with my Carbine & fly again Narcotics & Chemicals definitely explain why you had trouble with them. I don't touch that stuff, its not worth the hassle & the bonus only kicks in when you have 25 crates of either type. #FuckThatShit

... I was able to ride on the outside of the Brickade hanging off the side, but wasn't able to ride in the cab as a passenger. Are there any workarounds to this? Its the first time I hear about it, very strange. I have a question, why did the CEO\President drive the Brickade all the way to the Hangar instead of just blowing it up, salvage the crates & fly home?
