"Break Rashkovsky out of Bolingbroke. Ground team takes the transport bus, poses as guard and inmate, and goes into the prison to get him out. Demolitions takes care of the inbound transport bus. Pilot collects then in the plane."

Just a quick heads up before we get into details:
Pilot & Demolition: Never fly above the Prison during the finale.

It's not a hard* finale & can be done smoothly. If you are playing with rookies & without communication, it will drag on for hours... But as long as everyone is on the same page & know what to do, you should have no problem with it. My strategy is as follows: 1) Assign the highest level\ranking player as the prisoner, since s\he'll be packing more armors & theoretically should be more proficient with fire arms & survive with less. 2) Assign the most skilled pilot as the demolition specialist. If you have trouble communicating, let him\her know that you'll need him\her to provide CAS once you are out of prison. 3) Assign the rookie as the pilot, but explain the details to him\her ... Especially the part about tailing the fighter jet ... Not many people know about this. 4) Assign the average as the police officer, the highest ranking player can cover him\her... But make sure s\he doesn't go Rambo. Ground team should conserve ammo, aim for headshots & take cover whenever is possible. Once you leave the bus, don't attack the guards until you are near the last guard near the stairs. The prisoner takes him out & the officer take out the other two .... Quick, clean headshots. After that, always take cover & watch your health. The prisoner can take an SMG & ammo from the guards. ___________ * not to brag or anything (lol), but I managed to finish it recently as a prisoner while being a VIP (not having access to stored armors) & I survived without dying. ?

Is it true that the officer have access to his entire arsenal now?

This finale can be very frustrating since it is not checkpointed, and it can take a while to get through. Since is has a relatively low payout compared to the subsequent heists, it is hard to find players that are serious about going through it.
A good pilot can tail a jet without being put into danger throughout the breakout without demolitions needing to down them. (I kinda think they should have two jets at a time on hard to make this one more challenging)
If the pilot can do that, demolitions can go to the prison and support the guard and prisoner. There is a sweet spot where the Buzzard can get close enough to target enemies without being targeted from the prison's defense system, but the range is very small. There's not much room for error, because Demolitions needs to keep the Buzzard in good shape.

The pilot can fly in circles around the prison until the fighter jet arrives while the demolition doubles as CAS for the ground team & a wingman for the pilot.

Just my two cents but having had this happen twice yesterday if you stick behind the jet now it will eventually fly you out of bounds and fail the heist, also if you try to turn it round to head back to the prison the jet AI will always get a missile off on you and can result in the plane being destroyed.

Interesting, I always thought Pilot was a little too easy of a job. They can "fix" this, but they didn't notice all the stuck helicopter problems in every thing else? (grumble) I think they changed the NPC jet AI. I stole a Lazer from Zancudo the other day, and got in a dogfight with the NPC jet. When I fired a homed missile at it from behind, it took evasive maneuvers, almost like a player would.

I have the sneaky suspicion maybe they have not twigged the mission heli's are broken.
Jets will certainly try to evade your attacks now, I've also noticed the jet at Fort Zancudo is a bit sneaky and sometimes has already taken off before you're even in the base so that makes getting out a little trickier as it usually is behind you so I always end up going low out of the base and a sharp right to try and fool the jet to go the other way.

After playing the Finale a few more times with randumbs, "I Like To Revise My Earlier Statement" 😂
Ask the host to assign you as the Prison Guard, once you are inside, get your Drum-Mag Carbine & shoot everything that moves while the prisoner hangs back.
If you want something done, do it yourself 😎

Perhaps the Prison Break finale is the most difficult finale, with no checkpoints, that one can get really frustrating. That's a sore one for myself actually, I had a Prison Break finale on the phone for the past year, tried to complete it twice on Saturday, first time the pilot crashed the plane. Second time we got all the way through the heist and we had all made into the plane, plane got hit by a random hgih speed Granger SUV cop car and in the bullets spraying from the NOOSE guys I end up dying, seconds from getting the snacks menu open so lost my 40% cut as I cancelled the heist with Lester immediately after out of frustration. I find that if the pilot lands the plane at McKenzie Airfield (the one in Grapeseed), you'll have a better chance of success in the pickup which is perhaps the hardest portion of the finale. The cops can't rush in as fast as they can with the open spaces at Sandy Shores Airfield.
