A lot of fun, at least in FA, and one of the best AMs. Seems like everybody likes it. But again, instead of creating Adversary Modes, R* should make those options available in the creator.

I haven't actually played it but from videos I've seen I don't like the look of it at all and will be avoiding it.

Not played either, I am going to be starting getting down to earning "da serious cash in da briefcase man!" for my purchases but I shall check this out at some point.
Nice to see the aircraft carrier, perhaps we shall have further modes that utilize it soon.

Ok, finally got around to playing this, both in free aim and assisted aim modes. Basically, they are deathmatches with gimmicks, but I don't mean it in a bad way, it makes it interesting, and with cooperation with a team can be made more effective.
Just my notes on strategy/tactics:
Stay away from the beast, unless the beast is near the end of the power up cycle - then shoot 'm in the face when they change back. L2+square (ps4) is how you do super jumps, L2+X is how you run fast as the beast. Getting flipped takes some getting used to, but if you can adjust this will be less effective when used against you. Getting doped effects accuracy even in assisted aim. Just be aware. Going dark and getting a kill won't complete the "Kill Player off Radar" daily objective. No sure if raging will count as BST for a daily objective.
Assisted aim matches definately go faster and usually end at the kill count, while free aim matches take long and usually end at the time. Right now with double GTA$ for doing the playlist, the later might be more advantageous. You can make around $30-$70 playing the playlist.

Well I have just tried to play through the playlist and quit after the 2nd map as was doing some tinkering with control settings for ongoing problems aside, I have to say no further play for me, there are many things in this that make it very difficult.
1. Power ups seem to be active all the time which makes it difficult, the motion blur/glare effect is horrible and made it impossible to see what was going on.
The inverted controls thing happens too frequently and too easy for the opposition to get the target kill.
Also camping spots are now possible as had one player use the beast to get on top of the ship and he just stayed there and sniped everyone off.
Beast power up is a nice idea but again difficult to overcome plus the sudden slowdown of play is a bit difficult to adapt too.
This mode could use some tinkering from my first play.
Power Up's need to have a cooldown I'd say about a minute or two.
The Aircraft carrier location is fine but the beach one just sucks as all my team left and I never noticed so I just kept getting constantly killed.
I will give the playlist another go though as I think I got into a diehard group that were just out for kills so more later.

Well I will have another go at Power Play but there are some things I did like from my first experience.
That cheezy voice over appealed to me though I can imagine it might get annoying if playing this regularly.
Outfit idea was a great thing to see Bugs v Insects and I know some are very critical but I like the music that was playing in the background, am going to have a proper play of these (excuse the words) over the weekend and see what's what.

I like it. It´s original. It adds diversity and i personally find it fun. It suffers a bit from the diverse possibilities in terms of number of players (completely different 2vs2 than 6vs6) but then again so do the majority of DMs. The maps could also have been chosen better as only the ship offers a high ground and a real possibility to get there (at the prison the stairs to get up there are too exposed) but overall they make for fun gameplay. I gotta admit Rockstar came up with a very good and different idea. As i stated somewhere else i hope they keep innovating, but even if they do what they usually do and start giving us new maps and slight variations of this gamemode, i still like it as it adds something new to the game

It's still a fun mode, with friends in a party it is enjoyable. However, some things get annoying really quick. The announcer, map 2 and 3. It's definitely better than Trading Places, but the best and most competitive DM variant remains Drop Zone.
People say Power Play has nothing to do with GTA. And I agree. But to be fair, this agenda started with FM events, Hunt the Beast and Slasher. People said it reminds them more on some 90s gameshows and I totally get that point.
On the other hand, we had CEO work, which is at least GTA. The beast should have never been introduced. Hunt Mr. X, a Scotland Yard variant, would have fitted way better to a criminal game than Teenwolf. The beast really annoys me to be honest.
And then there is this one huge problem I have with the AMs and R* policy. Back in 2014 and 2015, R* asset were missions. Players could do everything but making missions in the creator. Now, R* gave up on that and decided to add variants of existing gamemodes as their asset. They are still in charge, decide what creators can do and what they can't. These simple options they added to old gamemodes should be integrated into our content creator. The community would make why better maps and use this stuff for tons of orginal, creative and good creations. But then, R* would lose their ability to put something in the game only they can do. It would be highly appreciated if they stop making playable content and instead give the options to the creator(s).
I got hope for the Stunt Race DLC. Maybe they give us more options. But also on the other hand, driving up ramps and stuff to weird sound effects is not my cup of tea and it's not GTA at all.

Yup. I sincerely don´t get the restrictions for the creator. Missions are a big upset, since we know the existing ones by heart now, and it would be cool to come up with hard, complex, team-coordinated ones. And now with the new abilities introduced in power play we get the same kind of disappointment were you could at least create deathmatches (and imagine the options for captures or races!) introducing "dazed" or "zoned" but they simply won´t let you. A real pity, and something i hope (against hope) Rockstar changes someday

I'm not entirely convinced this is "fun", perhaps with proper friends but I find Power Play is hard work if joining a randumb match and I have never been on a winning round yet (four plays so far)
The beast is most definitely the annoying part of Power Play, the game simply cannot keep up with a beast if you are trying to target and kill the beast so I still think the power up for that should have a longer cool down because the matches I have had the beast is always present.
Power Play II and III are not good maps, they are too open and the spawn points always mean you usually end up being close to an opponent who drills you before you even get going again.
Only map that is good is Power Play 1 as that gives us a decent area with lots of cover but ideal for run and gunners as well.
However need to make everyone aware there's a glitch currently that if two players go for the same power up at the same time one person gets it permanent until they are killed, found this out when a guy was always the beast yesterday evening.
In short this mode has a lot of potential and will be interesting to see if they do any more variety or additions for this.
