So it seems that those crew logos are back to the old behavior !?!
I was able to remove one the day after the update dropped, but not it appears I can't get any others removed after trying today. Perhaps a script update broke it, or perhaps it's very rare and random if the removal sticks.

Perhaps a script update broke it, or perhaps it's very rare and random if the removal sticks. I did try mine and it would appear that the logo's are still glued onto my affected vehicles but at least no new cars I'm buying are having the emblem added I think. Am going to be doing some further testing later this evening.

So I did some more testing over the weekend using BF Surfers spawned in Chopper Tail from the Chumash spawn and free Elergy's.
No success in removing the emblems at all however I have one last thing to try (removing one of my crews and relinking social club again) to see if that might make the game check and fix the emblem bug once again as it day on the day of the update.
I have only 9 slots affected so it's not really a problem as I think what I will do is for at least 4 of those slots I'll put the stock liveried muscle cars on and a BF Surfer, that just leaves 4 slots so I might end up buying the race cars again for them as that would mean it will kill the emblem on 3 more slots leaving just 1.
Not a proper solution but at leat one I can be happy with.

It seems that this one is not completely fixed. I was able to remove some, but not all of the crew logos I wanted to remove, and the model of car seems to determine if it is stuck. (from checking between characters)
Most annoyingly, I can keep it off my 811. Dominators and Sadlers, and Bisons seem to have the problem as well.

So are you saying you can remove it from the 811 but not the Dominator, Sadler and Bison? Your post confused me a little...

Ok, thanks for explaining.
I have sort of got rid of this problem by putting all the affected cars in my third floor office garage so I never have to look at the emblem affected cars and got replacements for the apartment garages which got delivered emblem free.
Providing the controller behaves I am going to do some new property tour videos this weekend to show what a difference the CEO garage has made to my car collections.

It was really aggravating to return to the game after months and find this problem still in effect.

It was really aggravating to return to the game after months and find this problem still in effect. The crew emblem bug I think is always going to be there, I don't think R* ever really have got to the bottom of it or working out a solution. I managed to fix most of my emblem bugs but I had to resort to using dupe glitches and what not, however most of those are patched now so there isn't really any solution at the moment.

I finally figured out how to remove a tainted slot:
Once you have removed/destroyed the car with a logo on it from a tainted slot (that puts a logo on a vehicle after you reload the game), simply drive in another car without a crew logo from a different garage into that slot. It may be neccessary to exit/reload afterwards, which I do, but not sure if it still works if you don't.
If you do not remove the tainted slot, putting a tracker on a stolen car that goes into that slot, or purchasing a new vehicle that goes there will force the unremovable crew logo upon it. Moving cars within the same garage to "overwrite" the tainted slot will not work.
See subsequent post...

Ok, ignore my previous post -- I think I have a better understanding of the underlying bug and how to accomadate for it.
A garage slot is "tainted" if you put a tracker on a vehicle, or drive it in, or purchase a new vehicle that ends up going to that slot. Putting a tracker on a vehicle will put it in the first free slot in the first garage with a free slot in the garage list when you call the mechanic or talk to your office assistant. This logo won't show up until you completely reload the game.
You can move a tainted slot to another garage. You need to completely fill the garage, then call in a car from another garage and swap or drive it in. (If the target slot is empty, it is still moved). If the car you put in the slot has no logo, the slot is now clean, but the former slot from where the car came is tainted. I am not 100% sure, but you may need to reload the game to make this happen.
Non-logoed cars can be moved within the same garage to the tainted slot through the vehicle managment menu. The slot is still tainted but the logo will remain off, and a tainted slot is only an issue if you sell then replace the car through purchase or tracking or driving a stolen car in. The slot that it came from should be non-tainted. You probably don't want to move a logoed car to a non-tainted slot, as it will spread the logo disease and you can't get rid of tainted slots.
To make sure a slot is not tainted, steal and drive in a car that can take a logo to that slot. Leave, then completely reload the game. If that car has a logo on it after reloading, it is tainted. Use inter and intra garage slot moves to get a non-tainted slot to be the first empty slot in the garage - so your next car purchase or next tracked car won't have a logo on it.

Ok that clears things up a bit better, one thing I guess to add is that certain cars it will allow you to store those on a tainted slot and it won't show the crew emblem.
I will try and make a list again of which cars don't have the crew emblem option over the weekend as still working on the list.
