I'm pretty interested in getting this tank assuming a solo driver can alternate between the main traditional style cannon and the new charge rail gun. It will be nice to have an upgrade on the old Rhino Tank which I always quite liked though I'm going to wait until I unlock the trade price (if I ever make it that far as host doing the heist). Even then I possibly may wait for a discount as well as I'm in no rush.

I doubt it. They are "free". If previous Christmases thought us anything, "free" won't stick. By the way, most Weaponized vehicles have locked Christmas liveries (plus, the Comet Safari & the upcoming Übermacht Revolter) that'll be released soon.

I bought a Khanjali last night though I didn't bother putting one of the Christmas liveries on it. Great vehicle though, I didn't realise that you could add proxy mines so that was a nice surprise.

So, I'm kinda curious about anti-Khanjali techniques. I killed a Khanjali yesterday through multiple grenade launcher bank shots, but I had bountied the player first.
Does destroying another player's facility-stored special vehicle incur insurance claims and bad sports points on a non-bountied player?
Are there weak spots on the tank where one may kill the occupants through minigun or or an assault shotgun without destroying the tank?

I noticed the other night that I couldn't seem to use the Khanjali's proximity mines when using the vehicle in a contact mission. It is the L3 button I believe on PS4 to drop a mine but that button didn't do anything when I pressed it during a mission.

What mission was it?

What mission was it? I did several missions altogether using the tank in a few of them so I can't remember which one it was that I tried to use the mines in. I know two in particular that I definitely used the Khanjali in though were Show me the Monet and Diamonds are for Trevor so it possibly could have been one of those.

So, I just played "Diamonds are for Trevor" with a Weaponized Tampa, and indeed, the prox mines don't work - it honks the horn instead.

As owner of said tank (I glitched too much money in 2017) I believe I can answer the questions.
Proximity mines only work in free roam related work, they are disabled in contact missions and heists but as with most vehicles/new stuff in game it's inconsistent, some times they work, others they don't.
I believe it counts as a PV therefore there are bad sport points to go with it but I shall do some testing of that soon.
No weak spots that I know of, I believe they learned from the Rhino Tank and there are no easy ways to destroy it but if the owner has fitted the rail gun this does give more time to get some rockets in before he can fire, however you are suckered if it has the grenade launchers as well because those are quick fire.
It is very slow however and not so quick to maneuver so there are definetly tactics that can be built to destroy it.

If one of the newer warplanes get hold of a Khanjali in an open space ... The Khanjali is a dead tank walking. As for ground approach, I believe an MOC cab loaded with C4s would do the job.
