SecuroServ (VIP/Bodyguards) Guide
This guide is currently under construction. I would appreciate any contributions/suggestions from the community, and especially missing information denoted with []. Credits are near the end of this post.
Update 1.31 (Executives and other Criminals) introduced SecuroServ to Next Gen GTA Online.
R* 1.33 release notes re VIP
This guide is intended to explain the new game mechanics for this update as well as some basic strategy.
SecuroServ is accessible in the interaction menu when in free mode (not the app on the phone). Organizations can be created by becoming a VIP. An Organization has one VIP and zero to three bodyguards. Up to 4 organizations can exist in a free mode session, and the members are denoted by a pastel color in the player list (tap down on D-pad) and on the map. VIPs are represented as an X in a circle icon, while the VIP's bodyguards will have normal dots with the organization's pastel color.
SecuroServ>Register as VIP
Any player can register to become a VIP that has at least one million dollars in their bank account. You can allow your bank account to go below a million while you are a VIP, but you must have a million to register as a VIP. After registering, you are a VIP until you retire, or 4 real-time hours expire in free mode. After ending your contract as VIP, you can register as VIP after 12 real-time hours. The VIP contract time remaining can be viewed by selecting SecuroServ VIP in your interaction menu. This timer only runs while you are outside of your apartment or garage in free mode, similar to how a bounty expires. There is no game reward to reach the end of a VIP contract, so it is advantageous to retire before the end of a game session and re-register the next day when you play so you have the full 4 hours.
If you have a secondary character, the VIP status of each character is separate. That is, both can be registered as VIP at the same time, with both having different 4 hour timers. For 8 hours of play as VIP, you can switch between characters.
While not required to be a VIP, it is desirable to own a Yacht to play the VIP work Piracy Prevention, and a Buzzard Attack Helicopter so that you and your bodyguards will have the ability to spawn one when needed. Owning the Turreted Limo, Armored Schafter LWB, Armored Baller LE LWB, or Armored Cognoscenti will give your organization the ability to spawn these for free.
SecuroServ VIP>Hire Bodyguards
A VIP can hire up to three bodyguards. Bodyguards are necessary to initiate VIP Challenges. Bodyguards are invited through the SecuroServ VIP>Hire Bodyguards menu option, and you can select Nearby, Friends or Crew (within the session), or individual members of the session. An invited bodyguard must accept the invitation through the SecuroServ app on the phone to become part of the organization, and a notification will be given to the VIP. If the VIP leaves the free mode session either by joining another game mode or another free mode session (which may happen due to network problems), the VIP's bodyguards will now longer be employed by the VIP's organization. A VIP will have to rehire bodyguards after entering a new free mode session. Likewise, the VIP must rehire a bodyguard if that bodyguard leaves the session and later returns. If you play another game mode with your bodyguards, and all select Freemode on the voting screen, the bodyguards will remained hired, as long as the VIP and bodyguards return to the same free mode session at the same time. Network/matchmaking server problems can cause this to fail, and lost bodyguards will need to rejoin the VIP's session and be rehired. [unknown: what happens when a VIP enters a free mode session that already has 6 VIPs]
An organization can communicate among just themselves if game chat in the interaction menu is set to "Organization".
A VIP cannot hire bodyguards while a VIP Challenge or Work is in progress.
When a VIP or bodyguard, you cannot enter passive mode. VIPs and bodyguards can get bounties placed on them, however a VIP's icon will not change to the skull icon, but the icon for bodyguards will. Other than for a bounty, there is no substantial game reward for killing a VIP or bodyguards not involved in VIP Work/Challenges, above the small amount of RP awarded for killing another player. However, VIPs may be targeted by griefers since they are at a disadvantage by not being able to enter passive mode. If you have a bounty, it is advantageous to register as a VIP since it hides your bounty icon, and you can recruit bodyguards to keep you alive as well.
When roaming free mode as a VIP, it is the job of the VIP's bodyguards to protect and drive the VIP. Bodyguards get a 100 RP bonus every [?] staying within the VIP's circle marked on the map. Bodyguards also get a 600 RP bonus every [?] when driving or flying the VIP. Bodyguards that are riding with the VIP get a 400 RP bonus every [?]. This is in addition to the 200 RP cruising/flying with players bonus. Bodyguards get a nominal $5000 payment every 8 game hours/16 real-time minutes for being a bodyguard. However, this is cut every time the VIP is killed by other players or by cops/NPCs since the last payment. VIP suicide does not count against the bodyguard's salary. The bodyguard's salary is NOT taken from the VIP's money.
Bad VIPs will insist on driving themselves and act like soldiers instead of VIPs. As a bodyguard, it is advantageous to look for work for another VIP acts like a VIP, otherwise you will be denied bodyguard RP bonuses and payments.
When a bodyguard, all money the money you make in free mode, outside of VIP work or challenges, will be subject to a substantial 90% cut taken by the VIP. This includes collecting bounties, holding up stores, winning free mode events, collecting money from crates in gang attacks, selling stolen vehicles at the mod shop. However, you do get regular income for being a bodyguard, and generate substantial income from VIP Work and Challenges. If you are a bodyguard in it for the money and RP, you may find it advantageous to quit working for VIPs that don't initiate VIP work or challenges, and work for one that does.
The VIP has the ability to share the money he/she receives from the organization through Inventory>Cash>Split Organization Proceeds in the interaction menu. It may be advantageous as VIP to keep your bodyguards happy and loyal and encouraging free mode money hustling by splitting the free mode organization income as you receive it. For instance, you may take your organization out bounty hunting or taking on gang attacks, and splitting the loot afterwards.
If you find good bodyguards, it is a good idea to make friends with them, and rehire them when you are acting as VIP.
Free Mode Events - Being in an organization changes the behavior of some free mode events:
Challenges: If more than one organization member competes in a challenge, the winner announcement when it concludes will have the name of the organization rather than the winning player's gamertag.
Kill List - In the cooperative kill list event with the Valkyrie, if a member of the organization enters the helicopter first, other players not part of the organization will not be able to become part of the Valkyrie crew.
King of the Hill - This event must be done cooperatively, with the VIP as king.
Criminal Damage - (tip) SecuroServ vehicles have no additional cooldown like Pegasus during this challenge. It is possible to call for and destroy up to three SecuroServ Buzzards that are spawned nearby.
[other instances of changed free mode event behavior?]
SecuroServ VIP>Management
Organization Name - The VIP can change the 15 character organization name for $50000. (you're a VIP, you got the money, right?) This name is first set when you register as a VIP, and does not persist when you register the next time as VIP.
Style - Forces you and your organization to wear predefined outfits.
Friendly Fire - On/Off. Set whether the VIP and bodyguards can damage each other. Default is off.
Dismiss - Allows the VIP to dismiss individual bodyguards from employment in the VIP's organization.
Terminate - Allows the VIP to dismiss individual bodyguards and ask the organization to terminate the errant employee. Perfect for bodyguards that are trolling the organization.
SecuroServ Vehicles
Different vehicles may be delivered to you or your organization through VIP or Bodyguard abilities in the SecuroServ menu. Only one of these vehicles exist for the organization at a time, and they will be seen on the map with the pastel color vehicle icon that corresponds to your organization. All members of the organization will be able to see this icon. A different vehicle may be delivered if the VIP and members of the organization are far enough away from it, and this distance seems to be less than what is required for requesting a personal vehicle from the mechanic. It is possible to have three vehicles out - your personal vehicle, a Pegasus vehicle and the SecuroServ vehicle. For instance, it is possible as VIP to spawn your Pegasus Buzzard and a free one through SecuroServ for your organization to use, however, you will need to stay near your Pegasus vehicle so that Pegasus doesn't reclaim it. SecuroServ does not seem to reclaim idle vehicles. The executive sedans (Cognoscenti, Schafter, and Baller LE) that are delivered are stock black versions, and not your customized personal vehicle, which you can still get delivered through the mechanic. SecuroServ does not repair vehicles after asking for redelivery, so you will have to destroy it and wait for the cool down to get a fresh one. Vehicles cannot be stolen by non-organization members. Unlike Pegasus, Securoserv vehicle will respawn along with yourself if you join another free mode session. There is a 2 minute cool down when a SecuroServ vehicle is destroyed. SecuroServ vehicles are not repaired even after requesting delivery.
SecuroServ VIP>VIP Abilities
Drop Bullshark - $1000 Drop a Bull Shark Testosterone nearby for use by yourself or your bodyguards. While this is more expensive than going through Brucie, the drop is made right in front of you, so there's no running up to 2 blocks to get it. Using this BST will count for the "Use Bullshark Testosterone" daily objective.
Drop Ammo - $1000 Drop an ammo crate nearby for use by yourself or your bodyguards. This works like a Merryweather ammo drop. However, it does not count for the "Collect Ammo Drop" daily objective.
Drop Armor - $1500 Drop an armor pickup for use by yourself or your bodyguards.
Turreted Limo - $20000/FREE Drop a Benefactor Stretch E Turreted Limo nearby for use by your organization. If this vehicle is owned (purchased through Warstock Cache and Carry), then you as well as your bodyguards may spawn it for free.

If you own this vehicle, then you as well as your bodyguards may spawn it for free. The SecuroServ Buzzard seems to be buffed, as it can take more damage from explosives.
Cognoscenti - $5000/FREE. Drop an Enus Cognoscenti (Armored) sedan nearby for use by your organization. If this vehicle is owned, it may be spawned for free by yourself as well as your bodyguards.

VIP Work and Challenges
Only one VIP Work or Challenge may occur in a free mode session at a time. If another VIP is in a Challenge or Work activity, you will not be able to start the Work or Challenge until the other's organization activity concludes. VIP work or challenges can occur while a free mode event is taking place. There are cool down times on the VIP Work and Challenges, however, barring being blocked by another VIP's activity, you can alternate between Work and Challenge. When finishing a particular Work or Challenge, [cool down times]
SecuroServ VIP>VIP Work
Sightseer - Collect three packages within 15 minutes. When this is started, the VIP must bring up the app on the phone and do a hack to reveal the location of the next package. Only the VIP can see the location on the map and collect the package. The VIP should mark the location while in a vehicle with the organization's bodyguards so he/she can be taken to the package. Other players in the session will be alerted to the activity after the first package is collected and will be awarded $[?] and [?] RP if they kill the VIP after the first package is collected and up until the third package is collected. Killing the VIP before the first package will not be rewarded, or fail the activity for the organization. This is best done in a helicopter if possible, as the locations of the packages can be anywhere in San Andreas. If successfully completed, the VIP and Bodyguards will each receive $20000 + $500/min and 2000 + 100/min RP. Upon failure, the payment is $500/min. This can be done without bodyguards and/or in an invite-only session. [video (no bodyguards, using Endurex)]
Executive Search - The VIP must move to the location indicated on the map, then stay within the circle for 10 minutes without being killed. There is a hidden timer which fails the work if the VIP does not arrive in the indicated area in time. Other players in the session are alerted to the Executive Search and are awarded [needed:RP and cash award] for killing the VIP before the time expires. The position of the VIP is hidden on the map as long as the VIP keeps moving. The VIP can go off the radar if they need to stay in one place for a moment. Bodyguards will be visible on the map.[can VIP do ghost organization or go off the radar with Lester?]. Ideally, bodyguards should not be near the VIP so they don't give away the VIP's position, unless the VIP has been spotted or is under attack. Bodyguards should dispatch any player that comes within the search area so they don't even come close to the VIP. If the VIP survives the time limit, the VIP and bodyguards are awarded $25000 and 2500 RP. Upon failure, the payment is $2500. This challenge can NOT be done in a session without non-organization players but can be done without bodyguards. After completing this activity, there is a 10 minute cooldown to do it again and a 5 minute cooldown for other VIP work.
Hostile Takeover - The VIP must secure a capture object and bring it to a drop off. In general, the VIP or bodyguards reach the pickup spot, fight enemies guarding the object, then deliver it while getting a wanted level. The drop off locations are random. Other players in the session are alerted to your activity and can win cash and RP for delivering the object themselves. Either the VIP or a bodyguard can pick up the capture object. It is advantageous to start this activity near where the capture object is, so that other players in the session will not be able to beat you and your organization to the object to pick it up. There is a 30 minute timer to complete this activity.
Fort Zancudo - Take a Rhino Tank from Fort Zancudo. Note that the gates of Fort Zancudo are open for this activity.
LSIA - Take a courier's briefcase from a hanger in LSIA.
Merryweather Base - Pickup a briefcase from an upstairs office at the Merryweather Base located in Elysian Island.
[/ul]
Asset Recovery - Steal one or two vehicles at a police station and deliver them to a randomly destination, while having an unshakable 4-star wanted level. If a VIP has no bodyguards, only one car is available to take, and the time limit is 20 minutes. Otherwise, there are two vehicles to take and the time limit is 30 minutes. The vehicles appear to be buffed and have bulletproof tires. When this activity starts, other players in the session are notified of the organization's activity and are directed to destroy the vehicles being delivered. Rival organizations can compete for the contract, and take the vehicles and deliver them for the same reward your organization would have received. A non-organization player's award is $500 for each vehicle destroyed. (note that it is not cost effective to blow these vehicles up with an RPG, homing missile, or sticky bomb). When nearing the drop off location, the wanted level is reduced to 2-stars and you must lose the cops before delivering the cars. Organization members are paid $10000 for each car successfully delivered and an extra $4000 whether or not any cars were delivered. Being killed during this activity does not fail it. If killed by the police, and there are too many cops near the car, temporarily leave the area, and the cops will despawn that are near the car. This activity can be done if there are no players outside of your organization in the session.
Sandy Shores Police Station - Recover one to four Nagasaki Blazers from the Sandy Shores police station.
Vespucci Police Station - Recover one DeClasse Rhapsody and possibly a Lampadati Pigalle from the Vespucci Police station. The Pigalle is available if there are bodyguards in the organization.
La Mesa Police Station - Recover one or two Pfister Comets from the La Mesa Police station.
[/ul]
Piracy Prevention - The VIP must own a yacht to start this challenge. Non-organization players are directed to assault the yacht and reach a yellow marker on the top deck. The reward for reaching this marker is [?]. The organization must defend the yacht for 10 minutes to succeed in this activity. If successful, each member of the organization is awarded $30000. Non-organization player are provided Seasharks and Mavericks on the beach nearest to the yacht during the activity. Non-organization players will respawn on the beach, Organization players will respawn on the yacht when killed. This activity cannot be done if there are no players in the session outside of your organization.
Note that non-organizations players can use passive mode, and can abuse it for this activity. One counter-strategy to passive mode abuse is to put a small bounty on a passive mode player, which prevents them from re-entering passive mode once they leave it, and also more obvious when they leave passive mode. You can do this as many times as you have members of your organization.
When your organization is assaulting another organization's yacht, all members of your organization must reach the marker.
Suggested strategy for taking a yacht: Take to the air, get high, then parachute out while going off radar.
Yacht defenders most likely will put proximity mines on or near the marker, so be sure to prematurely detonate them before going to the marker.
Executive Deathmatch - Challenge another organization to a VIP deathmatch. The first organization to kill the VIP of the other organization 10 times, or the most kills on the other VIP in the time limit [?] wins. The award for winning is [$? and? rp] for each member of the organization. Killing bodyguards do not score points. There must be an another organization in the session to do this activity.
[other VIP work]
SecuroServ VIP>VIP Challenges
Challenges require at least one VIP and one bodyguard. If the VIP has more than one bodyguard, he/she has the option to spectate the challenge rather than participate. [does VIP get paid if spectating?]
Most Wanted - the VIPs and bodyguards compete to survive a 5 star wanted level for up to 10 minutes. Competitors cannot harm each other, and other players in the session cannot harm members of the organization during the challenge. If more than one competitor makes it to the 10 minute mark, each is paid equally. This can be done cooperatively, where the VIP and bodyguards drive around in the same vehicle until the 10 minutes expires and all tie. During the challenge, you cannot use the tunnels to hide, else you fail the challenge (a 15 second warning will be given). Similarly, you may not take to the air in a plane or a helicopter during the challenge. The wanted level disappears at the end of the challenge. [needed: amount of cash and RP awards]
If you attempt to use any of the popular wall breaches during this challenge, you will die instantly and lose. Strangely, these wall breaches are not patched outside of this challenge.
Due Diligence - the VIPs and bodyguards compete to find the most hidden packages. Each competitor must reach the circle where the packages are hidden, then use the Trackify app on the phone, which shows general distance and direction. When close, the packages emit a tone that reveals their location, and visually they will have a smoke signal. Once a package is found, an new package spawns in another location within the search area. Competitors can be attacked by other players in the session. [needed: amount of cash and RP awards]
Point to Point - Similar to an impromptu race. The VIP sets the marker on the map outside the red circle then all members of the organization race to that point after the VIP selects start. The reward is either $10500 and a $500 for the losers.
A good VIP can use this challenge to reward his/her bodyguards by letting them win.
Market Manipulation - Members of the organization compete to rob the most convenience stores during the time limit. The player that steals the most money wins. A portion of the money is lost when a player is damaged or killed. Other players in the session may kill competitors. Being killed during this challenge does not fail it, but reduces the amount of money that was stolen. The award for winning is [ $? and ? rp]
Courier Service - each member of the organization is to pick up a bag of protection money and deliver it to the drop off with a 4-star wanted level. The initial value of the bag is $8000, but damage to the player or the player's vehicle on the way to the drop off will reduce this value. The winner of the challenge is the one that delivers the bag with the most money to the drop off within the 10 minute time limit. Note that it is not a race. The winner is awarded [$? and ? RP].
Auto Buyout - each member of the organization competes to steal the most value in vehicles. Most any vehicle can be stolen and its value is denoted on the screen. After stealing a vehicle, deliver it to any drop off denoted by a yellow marker on the map. The GPS automatically routes to the nearest location. Each location can have up to 4 cars delivered to it, after the 4th car is delivered,it becomes unusable and cars must be taken to another drop off. Normal free mode consequence apply to stealing cars, the police may be called and competitors acquire wanted level, and NPCs may set bounties on the auto thieves.. Members outside the organization may kill the competitors. Being killed while competing will not fail the challenge. The winner is the competitor with the highest value in vehicles stolen and is awarded [$? and ? rp].

Drop Bullshark - $1000 Drop a Bull Shark Testosterone nearby for use by yourself or your bodyguards.

The winner is the competitor with the highest value in vehicles stolen and is awarded [$? and ? rp].
