I'm not a huge fan of captures but I've played a number of them over the last 24 hours due to the event. Should make things a lot easier to get involved in one for daily objectives while the event lasts should a capture objective crop up. I'm considering buying the gold Luxor plane due to the big reduction but I'm still not sure I want to spend $5 million on something I'll probably only call for a couple of times. I've got quite a lot of money though so most likely I will buy it.

I don't think people give 'em enough of a chance, I think they are rich in tactical opportunity and smart strategies. I've been making some good GTA$ money this weekend playing my capture creations, which is normally pretty hard to find joiners. |

Time to buy a Luxor Deluxe for my female. With the 70 mil i got left i feel a bit poor. At least i got this out of the way, still need to buy her a Swift Deluxe though. I prefer the Swift. You only use those vehicles as a mobile virtual bar and the Swift is more handy if you want to get drunk on rooftops.
A shame that the good part (2x$) of capture week only lasts for a weekend. Took part in a GCCC capture event last night, it was a blast. You usually don't have 30 players in good custom jobs, and if for some reason, they are more than likely noobs or idiots. So this was kind of a new experience for me, having 30 decent players doing captures. It's completely different than stupid 1vs1 or 2vs2 R* created captures with randumbs. I bet the rant on other boards is pretty huge. Captures have been the most disliked gamemode before adversary modes came out, the problem is that people are just playing them wrong. Basically, most missions are simply one team captures. People don't have a problem with that. People also play TDMs. But captures? Most of the time a combination between mission objectives and a TDM? Hell no! By seeing the difference between a filled capture with skilled players and the usual randumb noobs, i can kind of understand this. A good capture requires teamwork and you just can't rely on randoms in GTA Online. Also custom maps can be a bit confusing if you play them for the first time and don't have any further instructions. But this makes the maps good and unique. And again, people don't have any problems to figure out the best strategy on heists and missions, but they rather quit captures instead of learning the map.
The amount of quitters on captures is insane. Especially people on call don't stay when they see it's a capture. I don't get it. Why go on call for a random job then? If you don't want custom jobs, disable them. If you don't want to play captures, go on call for races or deathmatches. If you only want to join full lobbys and be AFK during the job, play missions or a different game. But having a lot of joiners is definetely good and i will take advantage of it today. I can kick annoying "start it! start it! noooooow!" squeakers since i don't need them to fill up a lobby. This is awesome. I'd like to do that everytime i host my stuff, but unfortunately nobody will play captures by tomorrow anymore.
