I haven't bothered with most of the lowrider or Benny's update vehicles but I possibly may get this one as I read it could be a real contender in the muscle car race class. Possibly faster than the Dominator?

I'm hoping so. It will be interesting to see how the lower center of gravity will effect handling.

I've got a locked race for Sabre Turbos for PS4: Sabre Turbo Power (1-14 players) - Race a Declasse Sabre Turbo muscle car in a lap race at the Palmer-Taylor Power Station.

Hopefully it isn't. I always liked my Sabre, if it will beat the Dominator, every squeaker will get one. Still don't like all the Sultans nowadays. It was kind of an "underground" car you barely saw in freeroam. Now there are pink painted Sultans everywhere. I suppose the performance won't change if it remains in the muscle car class, just like the Tornado. Got one Sabre on each character, will probably only upgrade one. It's the car of the Lowrider Classic DLC i'm most interessted in.

Seems like we have a new fastest muscle car. However, I already regret upgrading both Sabres. The new version has higher top speed and better acceleration, but it spins out much quicker and can't really handle curbs. Had pretty poor lap times on Cutting Coroners when I tested it. Maybe I should downgrade the hydraulics.

Here's my upgrade. I bought a new one to keep my old fully upgraded sabre turbo, and it set me back nearly a million. I did all the performance upgrades at LSC previously.

Maybe I should downgrade the hydraulics. I did a few time trials on my mostly freeway/highway track, and got A list sports car speeds. I haven't really noticed the curb problems yet. I noticed that the upgrade doesn't support a wheelie bar like the original, which makes sense for a lowrider.

Maybe because you saved the quarter mil on the hydraulics.

Drove it a bit today. Guess you can get used to the handling issues with a little practice. According to Broughy it's the fastest muscle car (on Cutting Coroners). Didn't encountered many douches driving it, but that may be just a matter of time. There are no Princess Bubblegum liveries for it, which is a big plus.
The horrible laptime that Broughy got was exactly the same that I had. If you know how I race you really have to doubt Broughy's testing.

Well, I did experience the curb problem in Cutting Corners. I wonder if it can be duplicated with a plain Sabre Turbo?

Easily the new fastest Muscle car, and never rely on Broughy or anyone else's testing methods always use your own as a car may be fastest in class but not suit your drive style and as such you end up slower !
PS - Stop boosting those curbs !!

Bought mine last night and tested it out in competition with the Dominator in the Congestion Charge race. It was easily faster on that track for me setting a better lap time than the Dominator.

PS - Stop boosting those curbs !! Broughy testing information is worth considering, but way too many people do take it as gospel. Alot of these players aren't really good enough drivers to notice a difference in the top end of the class.(I am probably included in that group, but rather would not want to admit it.) The time difference between Broughy racing the Osiris and the T20 could easily be due to his driving style, rather than the characteristics of the cars because they are so close. But everyone had a T20 because it was the "fastest". Probably the most informative thing Broughy has done is to measure all the top speeds of the vehicles. BTW, here is a link to Broughy1332's video on the Sabre Turbo Custom:

Agree on the top speed comment. It ends up being a decider on most races however. I've gone with the sabre since the upgrade was available amd it certainly is faster than the dominator. It still has the same problem as the regular version:terrible traction and a very bad handling of bumps and impacts. So i would say if you can drive with a minimum of mistakes it is definitely the best muscle car. If not, the dominator is more consistent (and i can't believe i'm saying that about a car that handles as bad as the dominator)
